Remote Area 偏遠地區

偏遠地區主要可分為三類：

離島區，如長洲、南丫島等島嶼；新界偏遠地區，包含西貢市中心、屯門鄉郊、大埔林村谷、皇后山等區域；以及部分被歸類為偏遠地區的市區及擴展市區，如某些工業區、大學校園及住宅區，例如貝沙灣或半山。 

1. 離島區
由香港南面及西南面，大小不一的島嶼組成。
包括大嶼山、赤鱲角、南丫島、蒲台島、長洲、坪洲、東涌及愉景灣等。
部分區域如東涌新市鎮已發展，但其他大嶼山鄉郊地區及島嶼仍保留郊區風貌。 

2. 新界地區
西貢區： 西貢市中心
屯門區： 掃管笏、屯門鄉郊
元朗區： 十八鄉中、屏山南/中、天耀、元朗中心等
大埔區： 林村谷、大埔滘、船灣、西貢北
北區： 皇后山、上水鄉郊等 

3. 市區及擴展市區
雖然通常被視為市區，但某些地點因地理位置或特徵也被歸為偏遠地區。

Remote areas can be broadly categorized into three types: outlying islands, such as Cheung Chau and Lamma Island; remote areas in the New Territories, including Sai Kung town centre, Tuen Mun countryside, Lam Tsuen Valley in Tai Po, and Queen's Peak; and some urban areas and extended urban areas classified as remote, such as certain industrial areas, university campuses, and residential areas, such as Bel-Air or Mid-Levels.

1. Outlying Islands:
Composed of islands of varying sizes to the south and southwest of Hong Kong.
Including Lantau Island, Chek Lap Kok, Lamma Island, Po Toi Island, Cheung Chau, Peng Chau, Tung Chung, and Discovery Bay.

Some areas, such as Tung Chung New Town, have been developed, but other rural areas on Lantau Island and islands still retain a suburban character.

2. New Territories
Sai Kung District: Sai Kung Town Centre
Tuen Mun District: So Kwun Wat, Tuen Mun Rural Area
Yuen Long District: Shap Shek Heung Central, Ping Shan South/Central, Tin Yiu, Yuen Long Centre, etc.

Tai Po District: Lam Tsuen Valley, Tai Po Kau, Plover Cove, Sai Kung North

North District: Queen's Hill, Sheung Shui Rural Area, etc.

3. Urban Areas and Extended Urban Areas

While generally considered urban areas, some locations are classified as remote areas due to their geographical location or characteristics.

Examples: Bel-Air Bay, Mid Level etc.
